Sofa and accent chair: Can everyone read HaloShort subtitles?
The person in the middle of the sofa can see the screen just fine, while someone in the accent chair keeps asking what was said. When people watch from different seats, check the subtitles from the farthest or most off-angle spot?not just from in front of the TV.

First have the person sitting off to the side watch a short segment
Multiple seats aren't necessarily arranged in a straight line. A sofa has its own orientation, and a chair brought in temporarily may be limited by the coffee table and walkway. When arranging seating, try to make sure everyone can see the screen, and pay special attention to whether items on a low table are blocking the lower part of the picture.
HaloShort subtitles vary by actual episode. After picking a candidate, play a few lines of dialogue and let the person who relies on subtitles confirm whether the language and reading flow are smooth. The interface language cannot replace this step; when continuing the same show, also pay attention to the actual subtitles of the current episode.
When the picture doesn't fill the screen, subtitles can stay complete instead
When vertical short dramas are shown on a horizontal TV, there are often side margins. HaloShort offers original, stretched, and cropped display modes. When watching together, the original aspect ratio is usually an easy starting point: whether characters and subtitles are missing can be seen at a glance.
Switching to stretched may change the characters' proportions; using crop to fill the screen may cut off content at the top and bottom. If the only goal is to let people farther away see clearly, adjusting the seating distance is more worth trying. Cutting off a line of subtitles for a full screen actually makes the story harder to follow.
Where can you find HaloShort?
